Bacon Wars: History of the Chicago Union Stock …

October 12 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm

$20.00 - $30.00

While many of the nation’s meat-packing giants escaped the stench of the city by retreating to their summer homes in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff–thousands of workers continued their back-breaking work in Chicago’s Union Stock Yard enduring the gruesome conditions of this meatpacking city within a city.  Please join the LF-LB Historical Society as retired history professor Dominic Pacyga walks us through the rise and eventual fall from grace of the Union Stock Yard.  And, of course, come craving bacon!
