Dressed to impress were the supporters of Barrington’s Children’s Charities during the organization’s annual Derby Party, held this year at the festive Sweet Caroline’s Bar-N-Que. Guests enjoyed a Kentucky Derby-themed event, which featured a 50/50 raffle, a photo booth for snapshots with props, and a custom live painting by Patrick Skoff which sold for $1,250. The 180 in attendance raised funds exceeding last year’s total and celebrity chef Jaime Laurita and Rich Lane judged the Best Dressed contest. Proceeds will go on to help children in need in District 220, as well as Blessings in a Backpack.
