WINNETKA – The Salvation Army Brass Band performed on December 23 on the outdoor patio at Fred’s Garage on Green Bay Road in Winnetka. The familiar sound and sight of bell ringers and their red kettles were with the band for all to see — and donate money to.
This year, donations were lower than usual before Christmas.
The Salvation Army funds more than 50 programs for those in need in the Chicago area, and it helps millions of people around the world. You don’t need to find a red kettle to donate to the Salvation Army; you can click here and follow the prompts to donate online.
