WINNETKA – Village Trustee Kristin Ziv, who ran as an Independent in the 2016 election, has announced she will not seek re-election.
“This job has been enormously satisfying, and I have been privileged to serve Winnetka,” Ziv said. “But my husband and I are considering relocating, and it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to run again if I may leave before completing a second term.”
“With an election approaching in March, the Winnetka Caucus Council re-nominated two candidates for three positions. There is also an Independent candidate who filed nominating petitions Monday, and I’m happy to endorse her. Anne Wedner is a talented individual with pertinent experience, a record of work in our community, and an understanding of the major challenges this Village faces. It’s important to have an independent, non-Caucus voice on the Council.”
