WINNETKA – Winnetka Children’s Hour presents an original musical comedy, #TheBigAudition, debuting February 2018.
Imagine a North Shore High School theatre stage where students are preparing for a big audition. A familiar blend of personalities is navigating the complex world of high school. Add to the mix social media, technophiles, mischief-makers, musical numbers new and old, and a touch of theatre history – and you are sure to enjoy the drama. #TheBigAudition is an original script written by Winnetka Children’s Hour board members Ania Cramer and Kirsten Rider, adapted from “Cast Call” by Jennifer Tippet and the late Karen Shorr from the 1999-2000 season.
Performances are Thursday, February 1st at 6 p.m., Friday February 2nd at 7 p.m., and Saturday, February 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue, Winnetka. Individual tickets are $8 and may be purchased at the door or by contacting Jill Shannon at 847-212-0107 or email@example.com. Discounted group tickets also are available.
Since 1932, Winnetka Children’s Hour has a legacy of bringing live, quality entertainment to local families and establishing a non-competitive, collaborative atmosphere for the children in the play. Performance proceeds support Winnetka Children’s Hour Outreach Program, which funds enrichment for school children who lack exposure to the performing arts.
