One of my children lives in Lincoln Park, and her family’s neighbors are six chickens and several beehives. The creatures reside outside the Oscar Mayer Grade School, and they are a delightful presence!
They are, of course, well taken care of, by parents, staff, and students, but they are also beloved by DePaul students and others in the area. I’m not sure why people having chickens that are well cared for would be such a big concern.
We have so many huge problems in our country right now, zeroing in on chickens seems rather lame.
Just another opinion.
