The Wilmette Police Department reminds residents to lock their cars and remove their car keys. This is a pattern where the offenders target unlocked vehicles. They steal cars that have keys left in them and will enter homes if a garage door opener has been left in an unlocked automobile.
Always lock your doors and remove the keys from your automobiles. Immediately contact the Wilmette Police by dialing 9-1-1 if you see or hear something suspicious.
