GLENCOE – Police charged a man with robbery on Saturday, October 21, in connection with a reported robbery at the Subway restaurant in Hubbard Woods Plaza, 79 Green Bay Road. Another suspect, a juvenile, was not charged in the incident but was turned over to Dupage County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant. The arrested suspect, Tywan S. Locke of Chicago, was turned over to Cook County Sheriff’s Department awaiting a bond hearing.
Earlier in the day, officers from the Glencoe Department of Public Safety responded to a call of three people suspected of soliciting without a permit. Police located one of the suspects, an 18-year-old male from Chicago, and issued a citation for soliciting without a permit. The other two were not located.
Shortly afterward, at 3:30 p.m., police responded to the call at the Subway restaurant.
The suspects fled the area before the police arrived at the restaurant. Glencoe officers, assisted by Winnetka and Northfield police, located both suspects a short time later in the vicinity who were taken into custody without incident.
