Seeing the Chicago Cubs play at Wrigley Field is one thing — how would you like to watch a game with three of your buddies seated in starting pitcher Jon Lester’s personal seats, or give your kids or grandkids a pitching lesson with the World Series champ at the historic ballpark? Lester’s NVRQT nonprofit organization, which stands for “never quit” and seeks to strike out pediatric cancer, is working with Quintin Primo’s The Primo Center, which is committed to ending homelessness, to raise funds for both Chicago-based charities.
The two are together raffling off a priceless experience with Lester, and there are only a limited number of raffle tickets – 500 – available for this exclusive opportunity. The winner of the raffle will get to choose between two unique packages:
- Pitch Like a Pro: Have your children learn from the best with a 35 minute pitching lesson at Wrigley Field from Cubs starting pitcher and World series champion Jon Lester! Two kids (must be ages 7-20) will get the lesson of a lifetime. The winner will also get photos with Jon and autographs! Included is a world series autographed baseball and letter of authenticity. Two adults are invited to supervise and attend the lesson. A personalized tour of Wrigley Field will be included by a Cubs staff member.
Dates must be mutually agreed upon; experience must be redeemed by October 1, 2018.
- Wrigley VIP: Experience Wrigley like a VIP with four tickets to a home game in Jon Lester’s personal seats! His seats are in first section between home plate and the dugout. Experience begins with an invite by Jon to watch batting practice before the game (not open to the public!), a meet and greet with him, and pictures taken on the field! Included is a World Series autographed baseball and letter of authenticity. A personalized tour of Wrigley Field will be included by a Cubs staff member.
Dates must be mutually agreed upon, and the experience must be redeemed by October 1, 2018. It excludes Crosstown Classic and Opening Day games.
The drawing will be held at the Primo Center’s big event, The One Gala, on November 3, which is chaired by Lake Forest residents Cassie Carver and Marc Jacobson, along with Rebecca Jelfo. You don’t need to be present to win, but the gala, which is hosted by Diane and Quintin Primo, also of Lake Forest, is worth attending as it’s known to be one of the city’s most popular fundraisers. It’s being held at The Geraghty in Chicago.
“This isn’t your typical raffle where you buy a ticket and win a TV,” said co-chair Carver, director of marketing and events for Lake Forest Sports Cars. “You literally have the chance to win something you can’t buy. Its really neat to be a part of it. You have two charities working together to help each other raise money. It’s not every day you get to collaborate with a starting pitcher and World Series Champion from the Cubs. I mean, how cool is Jon Lester and his charity NVRQT for doing this!”
