GLENCOE – The driver of what police believe was a stolen vehicle failed to stop after committing a traffic violation at Tower Road and I-94 just before 2 a.m. on Aug. 2, according to the weekly Glencoe Police Department crime report. The officer contacted the Chicago Police Department and was advised the vehicle was stolen, likely recently from Chicago, Deputy Chief of Public Safety Richard S. Weiner told DailyNorthShore.
Also in Glencoe, a home on the 200 block of Mortimer Road was burglarized, according to the report. Someone broke into the home by breaking a window. The incident was reported at 7:56 a.m. on July 27. Damage was estimated to be less than $500.
