Loyola Academy and New Trier placed a combined seven players on the 2017 US Lacrosse Girls High School All-America Team.
LA’s selectees were Brennan Dwyer, Colleen Huffman, Madison Kane and Caroline Witkowski.
Katherine Gjertsen, Isabelle Sennett and Lucy Murray made it for New Trier.
Lindsey Karsh was Glenbrook South’s lone pick.
The other Illinois players earning All-America recognition included Hinsdale Central’s Anna Santulli and Montini Catholic’s Johanna Kingsfield.
Meanwhile, in boys lacrosse, the All-Americans were LA’s Timothy Hackett, Luca Lazzaretto, Kyle Koch, Quinn Roddy and Dominick Urukalo; New Trier’s Nate Carlton, Nelson Gaechter and John McCain; Naperville Central’s Tommy Coyne and Quinn Amato; Grayslake North’s Matt Carr, Dami Oladunmoye and Griffin Patton; and Lyons’ Jack Walton.
