LAKE FOREST – Elawa Farm is excited to open the garden market Friday, May 19, offering the community an opportunity to purchase fresh produce grown in the farm’s own restored historic garden using organic practices as well as farm-made soups, salads, scones and more. The garden market is also known for rustic, farm-fabulous ware which completes our unique market experience.
For opening weekend, garden herbs will garnish our dips, salads, scones and more, lovingly prepared by our new farm-to-table chef, Amy Swartchild, and her mighty volunteers. We will also have Elawa Farm Greenhouse seedlings for sale including a few varieties of peppers and over ten varieties of heirloom tomatoes. As the season progresses and the garden grows, we will offer freshly harvested vegetables such as arugula, radishes, fennel and more!
Come spend some time with us to stroll through the Elawa Garden, and visit our Garden Market, open Fridays & Saturdays from 8am – 1pm. This year we have new special gift items for the perfect hostess gift, your garden, and home. We continue to expand our offerings with a variety of locally grown fruits, meats, artisan food products, Elawa’s very own honey, and fresh eggs from our good friends up the road, EGGceptional Abilities. Finally, bring a little sunshine home with our gorgeous Elawa bouquets lovingly grown and arranged right here at Elawa Farm!
