To all of the residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood, thank you for tuning in and paying attention to the school board election for LFHS District 115. This was a polarizing and difficult election to say the least. However, as in all elections, the community majority has spoken and Dr. Tom Nemickas, Ms. Sally Davis, Mr. David Lane, and myself will assume seats on the LFHS Board next month.
Thank you to all of the community members who voted for us, supported us, and worked to make us successful during this election cycle. Thank you especially to all the LF Caucus members, Right Track, and Vote LB members that worked tirelessly to help us win this time around. Last time, I ran by myself and I know how much work goes into a successful campaign, not just by the candidate but by the candidates family and friends. Thank you all !!!
This does not mean the other candidates or the people that supported them are cut out and can’t participate in the process of making our schools the very best they can be. I wholeheartedly encourage the Final Four candidates, Ms. Jennifer Neubauer, Mr. Patrick Marshall, Dr. Lisa Mienville, Ms. Cindy Good and their supporters to join with us and work with us to better serve our high school and community. It is obvious we all all have lots of energy and strong beliefs. Pooling this energy and working with each other we can accomplish great things for the students of Lake Forest High School and the larger community. The election yesterday was not the end of the road but the beginning of a long journey traveled down a road best traveled together. Let’s all get together and make great things happen in our high school community!
