Over the past four years, I have served as a Moraine Township volunteer and witnessed first-hand the high quality services provided to residents with impressive efficiency and organization by the small but mighty Township staff.
I have helped low-income residents file their income tax returns for free through the Township’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program; it was only because of the stellar training coordinated by Township staff to certify me and other volunteers that we are able to confidently and successfully provide that invaluable service.
I also co-coordinate the annual holiday gift drive with Clerk Gail Brown. Every year, this program matches more than 600 Highland Park and Highwood students identified by the schools with generous community sponsors to provide gifts and grocery gift cards for families who are struggling. The amount of organization and attention to detail from our Township team and volunteers that goes into making this a successful gift drive cannot be overstated.
Between these two programs, I am in the office frequently and am humbled by Moraine Township’s compassionate approach to government, continually striving to do more with less. I support Bassi, Brown, Plouche, Alvarez, Douglas, Wolfson and Zisook for re-election for Moraine Township, and hope you will too!
