Carie Weinman, a four-year starter for the Glenbrook South girls basketball team, closed out her career as the school’s third all-time leading scorer.
The star guard, who was named the CSL South Player of the Year, ended up with 1,433 points.
This winter, the University of Denver recruit, averaged 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 4.6 steals per game for the 22-6 Titans.
Weinman shot 53 percent from two-point range, 34 percent from three-point range and 77 percent from the foul line.
GBS’s other all-league selection was Lizzy Shaw. The junior guard averaged 7.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
The other stat leaders included senior guard Callie Pekosh (6.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists), sophomore guard Makayla Stadler (4.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.8 steals), junior forward Liz LaPierre (5.4 points, 4.0 rebounds), sophomore guard Libbie Vanderveen (4.5 points, 2.3 rebounds), senior forward Gabby Amesquita (2.6 points, 3.7 rebounds) and senior guard Carolyn Kuhn (2.9 points, 2.4 rebounds).
