INSIDE THE PRESS BOX: Girls Basketball
For the third year in a row, Delaney Williams earned all-North Suburban Conference honors. The senior guard helped Lake Forest to a 23-10 record and a regional championship.
Williams averaged 8.69 points, 3.72 rebounds, 2.76 steals and 3.21 assists per game for the Scouts this season.
Williams completed her career as the school’s all-time leader in assists (391) and steals (314). She broke Janie Hodgkinson’s assist record (284). She eclipsed Mary Striedl’s steals mark (260).
Maeve Summerville also received all-conference recognition. The junior forward, who made honorable mention all-conference last year, led LF in scoring (9.18), rebounding (7.42) and blocking (1.24). She was third in assists (1.27).
Summerville became LF’s all-time leader in rebounds (769), surpassing Grace Torkelson (755).
LF’s other stat leaders included freshman Halle Douglass (8.09 points, 4.82 rebounds, 2.48 steals, 3.85 steals, 0.67 blocks), sophomore Grace Tirzmalis (6.15 points, 2.64 rebounds) and sophomore Ellie Pearson (4.07 points, 2.89 rebounds).
