Supporters of the Israel-based Weizmann Institute of Science came together to raise funds for the research institute, which is home to thousands of scientists and researchers who strive daily to improve mankind’s understanding of nature and illness. The 400 in attendance, including Governor Bruce Rauner and Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, gathered at the Fairmont Chicago Hotel at the end of October to honor Chicago philanthropist, civic leader, and Wilmette resident Renée Crown.
