This is a reminder that this Tuesday and Wednesday evening, December 6 and 7, Lake Bluff residents will have the opportunity to vote to determine which candidates the Vote Lake Bluff 2017 committee will endorse in the April 4th local government elections. While the endorsement of the residents attending the caucus does not always determine the eventual outcome of an election, it is the most important factor. So you should use this opportunity to become more informed and make your voice heard.
The meetings will take place both nights at the Middle School at 6:30 p.m.
Village and Library candidates will be voted upon on Tuesday and School Board and Park District candidates on Wednesday.
While it’s hoped you will come on both nights, it is especially important on Tuesday night because, at this point, it appears that there will be contested races for village president, trustee, and clerk, while the school board and park district candidates are currently running unopposed.
Candidates will be asked questions from the Vote Lake Bluff organizing committee, and there will also be an opportunity to submit written questions.
If you go to the website of www.votelakebluff.org, you can see the names of the candidates on the “ballots” that will be used at the meeting and their written statements of candidacy.
Thanks in advance for making the effort to attend this important community gathering, which only occurs every two years.
Please consider forwarding this notice to other Lake Bluff area residents.
