MEN’S GOLF: AT THE NEXT LEVEL
New Trier grad Jack Junge had a stellar freshman season at Trinity College in Connecticut. He earned Ping Division III All-American honorable mention honors by the 2016 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and joined fellow rookies Taylor Kay-Green (Needham, Mass.) and Will Rosenfield (Baltimore, Md.) on the Ping Division III All-Northeast Region Golf Team. The Bantams, coached by Matt Greason (3rd Season), finished as the runner-up team at both the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championships in the fall and the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championship Tournament in the spring. The Bantams won three other tournaments outright, taking the Williams College Fall Invitational, the Ekwanok College Tournament in Vermont., and the Williams College Spring Invitational.
Junge was Trinity’s top linksman during the spring campaign, winning the Williams College Spring Tournament with a two-round score of 145 and taking second place in the Manhattanville/NYU Invitational with a score of 148. Junge also carded a 159 in the NESCAC Championships to tie for 10th.
