NORTHBROOK – Two people reported package delivery thefts in Northbrook on July 11 and 12.
- A woman told Northbrook police that she was at home and saw a United States Postal driver leave a package at her front door. Later when she went to retrieve the package, she said, she saw two teenage boys walking away from her house with the package. She told police the boys saw her and dropped the package then fled on bicycles. They were described as about 15 years old wearing red shirts with white lettering. The incident was reported on the 800 block of Huckleberry on July 11, 2016, at about 3:40 p.m.
- Another woman reported on July 12 that she received a package delivery at her house on the 2500 block of Peachtree Lane on July 11. The next day while jogging in the rear of Westmoor school, she saw a package that was similar to the other delivery she received on July 11. The box was addressed to her residence; it had been opened and the contents were missing. The woman valued the contents of the second package at about $35.
