Saddle up and join Equestrian Connection at our annual wine/scotch tasting on Februray 10th at the Forge Club in Vernon Hills from 5 to 9 p.m. A special addition to this year’s event is live entertainment by Livingston Taylor, whose long musical career encompasses performance, song writing and teaching.

In addition to Livingston’s music performance, the event will include displays and sales of fine art and jewelry, raffles and more!

Tickets are $100 and include wine, scotch and cheese tasting, dinner, dessert and live entertainment by Livingston Taylor.

This special night will benefit the Equestrian Connection’s important MS Program and Scholarship Fund. According to EC’s Diana Schnell, the MS group began in 2010 and has served over 20 adults with MS. Many have found they are stronger, happier and healthier since they began the program. Some stopped using their canes to walk. All say it is one of their favorite times of the week.

Here is one of many testimonials …

When I learned you had a therapeutic riding program for people living with MS I signed up immediately and spread the word to our fitMS® population. I have participated since the first day and hope you’ll find funding to continue this indefinitely.  I have seen benefits ranging from decreased back pain, improved range of motion, strength, balance and most of all attitude! Our group sessions with Colette foster a great sense of community and support. Since many travel a great distance to participate … I travel over 20 miles … I hope you’ll be able to secure funding to continue the program at a reduced rate. I know many could not afford the additional financial burden if the weekly cost of travel and riding fee were to increase.
